The vast majority of iPhone users rarely access all of the available iPhone features.In this course, learn to use your iPhone to the best possible advantage.

Some critical features covered include Apple ID and password; structure of the iPhone (buttons and how they work);best apps to have and how to get them; how to text, phone, FaceTime, and email; how to use the Control Center; mastering Settings; updating operating systems; using key apps; and more.

An additional session will include iOS 15 updates and the unique features of the newest iPhones (iPhone 12 & 13).

AACE is pleased to partner with BoomerTech Adventures to offer fully asynchronous online courses students can complete on their own time and at their own speed.

Each course is a PDF booklet with information about the class, instructions for using the class, and the content of the class (videos and articles).

The three instructors provide personalized support for each class via email and /or online chat. The recommended time for each course is one month with 1 to 2 hours of work a week.Tech requirements for each course are a strong internet connection (or access to one) and a computer and/or tablet.

Did you know…youriPhone tracks your movements? The keyboard has hidden keys? You can writeand draw on your photographs? You can calculate in your search window? OuriPhones/iPads have many time-saving features that allow you to be creative,efficient, and have fun. These “hidden gems” will show you how to learnadvanced features of your iPhone and iPad.

How long does each course take? For most of our courses, we recommend 4weeks at 1-2 hours each week. Because these course are virtual you may offerthem at any time and as many times as you would like to as many students asare interested.

What technology is required? A strong internet connection (or access to one)and a Mac computer, iPad, or iPhone to access videos and articles. (Please notethese courses are based on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) and Mac computers.The Zoom courses are not iOS or Mac dependent.

The iPhone app has some differences from the iPad version. We will explore all of the choices on Safari’s opening page, review efficient search strategies, look at the hidden possibilities within the share feature, come to see the advantages of Reader View, and more. After completing the five lessons you will truly know the ins and outs of Safari on your iPhone.

An Introduction To Voiceovers

The 90 minute class begins by discussing with students the basics of the Voiceover world and the opportunities within the 18-billion-dollar industry. Easy and convenient scheduling for both the student and the school.

Children's behavioral health services are vital to Maine's children with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health disorders and their families. And the need in our area is great!

As an integral part of the child's treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential.

Training Components will be for Home and Community Based, section 65. If you are looking to be in a school setting, an Ed Tech Certification 3 is required. 

Pre-Requisites

Fun fact: This is the only training provider designated through DHHS to offer the certification in Maine. You will need to pass a background check, but that is completed after the completion of the training, as part of your application during the hiring process.
