This class is structured as a fitness class that serves the mind, body, and soul as we embrace the seasonal shifts in our own backyard. The class will end Wednesday, Nov. 27, due to the holiday/closure on Friday of Thanksgiving week.

Explore Three Cornered Pond at Bicentennial Nature Park as we set out on kayak or canoe for a morning five-week series of Paddle & Poetry. This class is structured as a fitness class that serves the mind, body, and soul as we embrace the fall with paddling in Maine. Kayaks and Canoes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please indicate whether you will need a vessel when registering.

Learn about Literacy Volunteers and tools and strategies to be an effective Literacy Volunteer Tutor. Literacy Volunteer Tutor Orientation provides an overview of Literacy Volunteers of Kennebec's structure and organization, the variety of learners served, and the roles and responsibilities of tutors and other volunteers.
The Tutor Training provides basic instruction in adult learning principles and strategies for teaching adults in one-on-one situations. The areas of basic reading and writing, English Language Learning, health and financial literacy, digital literacy, and employment skills are reviewed.
Participants will practice skills and meet experienced tutors. A resource manual, Tutor Eight Edition, and other resource materials are provided.

ELL Math is a basic math class designed for English Language Learners.
ELL students will have the opportunity to develop basic math skills with a certified math teacher, while also learning the vocabulary of math.
Students will learn the meaning of important math terms, as well as how to recognize the math definition of words that have more than one meaning. Students will practice applying language skills to reason mathematically and solve real-life math problems.
