Tammy Flaherty, Emily Herman, and Anna Martin graduated September 20th as Certified Nursing Assistants from Maine Veteransā Home in Augusta. The event celebrated the completion of their Certified Nursing Assistant course offered through Augusta and Community Education in partnership with Maine Veteransā Home.
Monique Roy, Augusta Adult and Community Educationās director, welcomed family, friends, staff, and residents to the pinning ceremony and presentation of certificates. Rhona Suga RN, Director of Nursing Services, offered an insight into the work and effort the graduates put into caring for the patients using the training provided. Isabelle Markley RN, CNA Instructor, congratulated the students on their diligence and the energy they put into becoming Certified Nursing Assistants. She mentioned the long hours each participant had dedicated to learning the skills needed to be a CNA.
Tammy Flaherty was presented the award for highest grade. Anna Martin addressed the audience on behalf of the graduates. She spoke of the dedication and respect each of them felt for the patients.
Isabelle Markley, Rhona Suga, and Monique Roy participated in the pinning ceremony presenting each graduate with a CNA pin, a rose, and the CNA certificate.
