This fall at Augusta Adult and Community Education, students, faculty and staff joined together in a mutual cause for their community. The mission was to support the Kennebec Valley Humane Society. The results were overwhelming. Not only did students bring in donations of canned and dry food, treats and toys, but several students made blankets for the animals. It was truly a labor of love as they sewed and even crocheted warm, soft pieces of comfort. Several students had the pleasure of dropping off the donations to KV Humane Society on October 22, and got to visit with all the furry friends. The hope is to continue collecting donations through Thanksgiving. Thank you to all who have helped in this cause.
